Twitch streamer broke the world record when he streamed continuously for 8 days without a break

A Twitch streamer nicknamed “Reecesy” has broken the world record for longest hours of continuous stream, breaking the record of “CallMeCyper” in April.

The last few months have continuously witnessed Twitch streamers challenging to stream non-stop. The first is LosPollosTV, who set the record in early April, when streaming continuously for 200 hours without a break.

This record was broken less than a month later, with CallMeCypher reaching 200 hours, 18 minutes and 17 seconds of non-stop stream. Nearly two weeks later, the record was broken again, this time by Reecesy.

Reecesy is a British stremer living in Wales who, at the time of writing, has just 7,500 followers on Twitch. Despite having a modest following, on May 3, he decided to challenge himself to break the record from CallMeCypher.

More than 200 hours later, on May 11, Reecesy announced he had broken the world record by more than 12 minutes. His non-stop stream record lasted 200 hours, 30 minutes and 28 seconds.

“I officially broke the WORLD RECORD for longest uninterrupted stream,” he said, “My stream ended at 200:30:28. 8 days of unbelievable stream, must say is crazy. Thanks to everyone who followed. Thank you so much to my wonderful community. You guys are the best.”

Reece has previously streamed quite a few times, mostly for charity. However, there has never been a stream with such a long record.

The streamer celebrates his win while playing Valorant, before thanking the community for sticking with him for this horribly long time. His stream was later turned off due to a technical error, but he surpassed the world record by more than 12 minutes.

Given what’s been going on in the Twitch community lately, it seems likely that some streamer will be able to break this record in the near future.
