Top 10 most downloaded PS4 games of 2018

With 2018 coming to a close, a lot of PlayStation 4 exclusives, like God of War and Marvel’s Spider-Man, are out this year. It’s time to take a look at the best-selling games of 2018, and PlayStation has announced the top games on their list this year. Here is a list of the top 10 best-selling PlayStation 4 titles that were loaded on the PlayStation Store in 2018.

This ranking is quite surprising, because two of the games that are highly appreciated by experts as well as from fans are not in the top 5 best sellers in 2018. God of War, only ranked 7th, is the game title. The PS4 exclusive is the highest rated ever, and it was awarded Game of the Year at The Game Awards this year. Similarly, Marvel’s Spider-Man has topped the download charts several times but hasn’t made it into the top five this year.

We are not too surprised when Red Dead Redemption 2 took the number 1 position in the chart, because the game exceeded the expectations of fans and experts. More surprisingly, Fallout 76, which was heavily criticized, as well as Battlefield V, which disappointed fans, came in at third and fourth respectively.

Fortnite Battle Royale is the most downloaded free game on PS4, and Beat Sober is the best-selling PlayStation VR game. All in all, it’s been a good year for PlayStation, and next year is expected to be even better with exclusives The Last of Us Part 2 and Death Stranding awaiting.
