Publisher Microids recently announced that they will be releasing a new Tintin game with an “action-adventure” genre. The game will also feature comic book characters such as Captain Haddock, Professor Tournesol, the Detective Thomson brothers and Thompson and of course the white dog Milou.
According to Microids director Stéphane Longeard, “This is truly a dream come true for us. The Adventures of Tintin known to millions of readers worldwide and this opportunity will allow us to bring our talents to the re-enactment of the work of one of the most famous authors of the 20th Century: Members of the team of We are both fans of Tintin reporter and will do our best to create a title worthy of this famous brand. We can’t wait to start this project!”
In Europe, Tintin is a household name. Hergé’s “clear” art style featured simple figures against detailed backgrounds such as architectural drawings, characters highlighted by flat colors and few reflections. Hergé’s style greatly influenced many comic artists throughout the 20th century.
