After Valve released a new version of Cache, this famous map quickly captured the hearts of Counter-Strike: Global Offensivve gamers.
The map is famous, thanks to the locations (callouts) named after professional players. Despite the map’s popularity, CSGO gamers still have difficulty at bombsite A. The first problem is that CT has many ways to defend the site. Some teams like to put two A keepers, while one guard from the highway.
In order to enter the bombsite, the T side needs to overcome many beneficial angles of the CT. This article will guide you through the standard implementation of Cache’s bombsite A. Most players will need an extra teammate willing to cooperate to implement this tactic. In the best case scenario, i.e. the right smoke and the right timing, bombsite A will be much easier to capture.
Explain how to easily deploy to bombsite A Cache
While most people know the smoke truck, any A attack in matchmaking can be negated by a CT sitting in a familiar location: NBK. For those of you who are new to CSGO, this is a position named after French player Nathan “NBK” Schmidt and his ability to compete over the years in this small corner of the map.
Since this location could cause big trouble for T, the plan here is to take care of this place immediately. These smokes will create a wall around bombsite A and when combined with flash and Molotov into a tight corner, it will give T the condition to clear the NBK corner.
The first step is to learn how to throw three grenades from A Main.
Smoke Truck
Note that all these smokes land very quickly. They can be thrown at the same time and are quite easy to do. Here’s what happens if you throw it right:
The first smoke is the easiest. This is a traditional smoke truck that almost everyone knows. Watch in the middle of the crates outside the A Main door, then run.
The second smoke is a bit more complicated. It is thrown from the path between the T spawn and the squeaky (blue door) to block the view from the highway to the bombsite. This smoke is important for two reasons. It limits the mobility of any CTs remaining in the bombsite and allows T lurk from the highway more efficiently. Combined with a flash and a Molotov below, T will capture bombsite A without too much difficulty.
To throw a flash at bombsite A, stand close to the wall as shown in the image below in A main, align the center point of the metal crate on the roof, then use a medium throw.
This flash will blind anyone who keeps an eye on A main. The player standing at A only sees the flash appear less than 1 second before it explodes.
Molotov is probably familiar to everyone, but it rarely falls deep enough to burn through the forklift corner. The good news is that we have a simple way to solve this problem. Stand facing the cart and crate next to the A Main wall, aim for the doorframe, then run and throw. Molotov will land at the perfect angle to spread deep inside.
When moving out of A Main, you only have to check the close corners and shoot on your way into bombsite A.
But this implementation only works in one way. All smokes must be thrown at approximately the same time. The two smoke T spawns make no noise before landing and they explode immediately. This tactic only works if it surprises the opponent.
Smoke catwalk and mid site from T spawn
Both of these smokes are thrown from the same location. The player needs to jump and throw for the smoke to land on the catwalk, but the second smoke is just left-clicking.
First, the player stands close to this corner between the piece of wood and the wall. To smoke catwalk, align in the middle of the broken sign as shown below and jump. The article also adds the location on the radar for your reference.
Mid site smoke is even easier. There are many capacitors on the top of the pole. Don’t worry, you can throw through them. Players can align the crosshair as shown below and left click to throw through them.
These two smokes are what make attack A work. In modern CSGO, CT no longer flinches from smoke if smoke blocks his vision. But they won’t like being stuck in smoke. As soon as flash and Molotov are thrown, the team needs to move in. If there’s time, another Molotov shot at the spot where NBK flashed will help clear the spot.
In practice, this makes it easy for a 5-man team to take A when everyone doesn’t have to worry about trucks and highways when attacking.
View from the top: T has clear paths to check the angles, while the CT defensive site has smoke cut off vision.
Cutting CT’s vision from afar and possibly lurk from the catwalk, the T side has every chance to win this round. Due to the strategy of using only three smokes, one Molotov, one flash, T still has enough utility (if fully purchased) to smoke the highway and truck, molly truck, or take the initiative if it feels like the right decision.
But be careful, because CT also has its own tricks.
Molotov default plant on bombsite A
Everyone has encountered this situation on CT: repeatedly rotated to A and then decided to save a few seconds later. But if a teammate on bombsite A can delay long enough for a teammate to arrive in time for the bomb to be placed, then this is a big surprise CT can do.
You need to stand close to the middle of the truck, watch the incendiary grenade at the end of the crane hook and then left click to throw. In CSGO, if there’s a way to attack, there’s always a way to counter it. If the fire bomb is thrown correctly, it will delay T in placing the bomb.
