The soccer player who was murdered 15 years ago suddenly became a game character

Kiyan Prince was a promising young footballer from the UK circa 2000 and also the victim of a tragic murder that shocked the country 15 years ago. The incident took Kiyan’s life and future, leaving him to rest in peace at the age of 15. In memory of Kiyan, FIFA 21 turned him into an in-game character after this week’s roster update.

Kiyan Prince, better known as “The Bullet”, is a player for the Queen Park Rangers football team. He always inspires those around him with his quick and skillful play. On May 18, 2006, a 15-year-old boy was stabbed to death after a friend intervened in a brawl outside their school.

In FIFA 21, Kiyan will be a member of the Queen Parks Rangers under-16 team – the team he played for in real life. By completing game objectives, Ultimate Game players can unlock items such as the Kiyan Prince Foundation Kit, an outfit inspired by the uniform worn by the Queen Parks Rangers players during the 2004–2005 season. and a plaque of honor to greet Kiyan in the stands.​

Queen Parks Rangers has commemorated Kiyan Prince in many ways, such as renaming the Loftus Road stadium in his hometown to the Kiyan Prince Foundation stadium, after the foundation his father, Dr. Mark Prince, founded after when his son was murdered. It is known that the image of Kiyan Prince in FIFA 21 was created by combining images of him when he was 15 years old and his father when he was 30 years old.
