The roof of Ninja and Shroud will be “dead” after today

Today is the last working day of Mixerwebpage streaming of the Microsoft. Starting soon it will completely disappear.

Last month, on June 22, Microsoft announced Mixer would be shutting down and merging with Facebook Gaming. Some streamer Mixer has moved Facebook and a few others chose to participate Twitch.

In fact, Mixer’s homepage already has a banner promoting the Facebook merger, but many of the channels suggested around are also promoting the possible alternative platform, Twitch.

Mixer said in a press release last month: “Clearly with the vision and experience that Microsoft and Xbox want to give the gamer the time it took to grow our live streaming community wasn’t enough. So we decided to shut down Mixer and help move the community to a new platform.”

Mixer made waves in 2019 by signing with popular Twitch streamers like Ninja, Shroud, King Gothalion,… However, that is not enough to attract enough attention, not to help the platform become too prominent. The closure caused many people, not just streamers, to look for new jobs this summer.

Ninja and Shroud have yet to announce their plans nor the platform they will switch to after Mixer is closed. Other former Mixer partners, like Gothalion, have started these live stream first on Facebook.
