A few weeks ago, Assassin’s Creed wiki user AlifMorrisonudin noticed something interesting in The Division 2: a game poster he believes is the Assassin’s Creed Easter egg. This has caused the Reddit community to debate hotly.
The picture appears to be a Viking figure, wearing an Assassin-style shirt, holding a spear and looking out into the distance. The word “Valhalla” is placed on the poster, indicating its origin is from Northern Europe.
But what makes fans really believe that this is Assassin’s Creed comes from the orb the character holds in his hand. It looks a lot like the Apples of Eden, technology created before humans appeared by the Isu tribe: tools that allow to do anything the wielder needs. If you want to dig deeper into the plot, Viking has had a connection with the Apples of Eden as far back as Assasin’s Creed 2, through the Norse goddess Idun.
Summarizing the information, this is a very convincing evidence, because Ubisoft has also done the same thing in the past. However, the real confirmation of the Viking-themed game came from Kotaku newspaper, when a few months ago, they said an anonymous party confirmed the game would be about Viking.
We don’t know anything yet, and it will probably take a long time. Ubisoft said last year that the next Assassin’s Creed game will be released in 2020.
