The heir of the legendary Baldur’s Gate is about to land on the mobile platform

Baldur’s Gate, the name that probably anyone loves the genre RPG Tradition must have known or heard. With only 3 main game parts and 3 extensions, BioWare opened in front of players an epic world with epic and heroic adventures. Baldur’s Gate, in the eyes of gamers of the 8x generation, is obviously an immortal and indelible symbol.

The most unfortunate thing for the “sheep” of Baldur’s Gate, is probably the fact that BioWare itself ignored and did not continue to develop this game. In 2016, Beamdog officially released his own Baldur’s Gate game, titled Siege of Dragonspear. At the time of publication, not many believed that this Baldur’s Gate expansion would live up to its predecessor’s fame. However, Beamdog was successful, and Siege of Dragonspear is still mentioned as one of the most classic expansions of the series.

Taking place between the events of Baldur’s Gate I and II, Siege of Dragonspear follows the invasion from the North by a female warrior known as the Shinning Lady. Summoned to help Baldur’s Gate fight his enemies, you, the protagonist, will have to face one of the deadliest enemies ever. Because, rumor has it, the Shinning Lady herself is a demigod, a child of God and Man, just like you.

With the success of Siege of Dragonspear in the past, Beamdog obviously will not ignore this game after successfully adapting Baldur’s Gate: Enhanced Edition to mobile not long ago. Last Friday, the head of this studio, Phillip Daigle, confirmed that Siege of Dragonspear will be released independently on March 10.

According to Phillip, most of the game will remain the same as the original, with only a few changes in a few missions and small details. Besides, Beamdog is also planning to launch a remake of Siege of Dragonspear on PC with many improvements in the not too distant future. For the followers of Baldur’s gate, this is obviously a good news.
