The final secret in God of War has been discovered

There are many secrets and Easter eggs found in God of War since the game launched in April. From hints related to the infinity stones in Marvel, to mysterious costumes. included in the collector’s edition. But it seems, we still have a secret hidden somewhere in the game.

At Comic-Con San Diego this year, there were two God of War exchanges. Among them, a fan asked game director Cory Barlog for the final secret. Barlog happily suggested, saying fans should try looking in Kratos’ house. Since then, a group of gamers have scoured every nook and cranny of Kratos’ house in an attempt to uncover this secret. In the end, the team found it, but it wasn’t what they expected.

On Reddit, there is a separate section devoted to finding secrets in God of War, and this last secret is the focus of the group. Currently, what the team has found are runes scattered throughout the house that, when combined, spell out the name “Loki.” Anyone who has played the game knows that Loki is Atreus’ name given to him by the character’s mother when he was born.

The community is currently bewildered by this discovery, some do not want to believe that this is the big secret that Barlog is alluding to, while the rest accept it, but not too happily. Until Barlog confirms it, players continue to search for the game’s final secret.

If you want to find another reason to return to God of War, besides finding Easter eggs, the game will have a New Game Plus mode in the future. This was one of the most requested features for the game, so fans were delighted when it was announced at Sony’s E3 2018 press conference. However, we still don’t have a release date or what this mode will add to the gameplay.

As for the future of the series, it looks like the Santa Monica Studio team has already begun developing a sequel. The studio has posted a job for sketch artists on its website, with the requirement that the recruit create “high-quality characters, gods”. This shows that a sequel is in development, and that the studio is constantly recruiting new talent.
