In the context of a growing shortage of graphics cards, mechanics Cryptocurrency Mining is shifting interest from dedicated GPUs to gaming laptops, making the supply of this item gradually scarce. In spite of gaming laptop can’t beat the graphics card in terms of performance, but MSI did a small test to test how profitable a gaming laptop can be when running 24 hours a day for 1 month.
Gaming laptop MSI GE76 Raider with configurations including Intel i9 10980HK CPU, Nvidia RTX 3080 GPU and “exclusive cooling design”. This configuration is more powerful than most laptops today, but it is still just a single graphics card located alone in a closed chassis. Will the MSI GE76 Raider be able to compete with the money “mined” from comprehensive “plow money” systems, with multiple GPUs located in air-conditioned rooms?
MSI’s test is performed on the Nicehash platform, using the DaggerHashimoto algorithm, where the hash rate of the RTX 3080 is about 52.8MH/s. This number is still lower than the hash rate of the RTX 3080 on PC (95.7MH/s) and close to the speed of the RTX 3070 (52.9.MH/s).
The above test is a completely different approach, bringing good news to the cryptocurrency mining community, compared to Nvidia’s downing of the RTX 3060 and claiming GeForce’s GPU is only for gamers.
MSI started testing on February 25th, so the test is already half way through to this point. Is the MSI GE76 Raider profitable? Follow Emergenceingame.Com for the latest updates on this test.
