The Division 2 announces new features in the PC version

Most recently, Ubisoft has just made big announcements around the PC version of The Division 2, its third-person shooter game. In addition to confirming that the PC version will not have a Steam version and will only launch on the Epic Games Stores (and Ubisoft store), the company also provided details about the unique features of the game on PC.

The improvements of The Division 2

The two biggest features for The Division 2 on PC is unlimited frame and screen resolution. This allows players with powerful computers to enjoy the game at the best picture quality. The game can be played on multiple monitors or widescreen with the desired refresh rate.

The game also supports customizing UI (game interface) and HUD (display), as well as HDR (high-dynamic range). The Division 2 team worked hard to create a 1:1 version of the city of Washington DC, it looks like PC players will have plenty of opportunities to enjoy the game’s graphics.

In the trailer introducing the PC features of The Division 2, Ubisoft also explained that they have improved the chat feature in the game. Obviously, players working together often voice chat to discuss tactics. But for those who cannot communicate using that method, the text chat feature is a must-have. The Division 2 added more opportunities for players to work in groups, including the Faction Wars puzzle game.

Configuration officially announced

In addition, Ubisoft also announced the lowest and recommended configuration of the game The Division 2 on PC. At the lowest configuration, players need 8GB of RAM to run the game well at 1080p 30FPS resolution. In the “elite” setting (4K and 60FPS) the player needs 16GB of RAM. According to the video, this configuration ensures that older hardware can still run the game.

One point to note is that, the lowest and recommended configuration of The Division 2 is higher than the first (6GB of RAM is the lowest of part 1). However, because part 2 is more ambitious, Ubisoft hopes players will not be too concerned about this difference.

The Division 2 will launch on March 15 on PC, PS4, Xbox One.
