According to information from the PBE beta, Taliyah Stone Witch could be the next victim of major changes.
Almost everyone who plays League of Legends is afraid of the day their favorite champion gets nerfed, of course. And now it’s the turn of the main Taliyah.
One of the most prominent topics on the League of Legends forum right now is discussing future Stone Witch nerfs. Specifically, Taliyah players are very unhappy with the change on the PBE version where Taliyah’s Q, the Flying Stone will no longer be able to deal multi-target damage.
This move of Taliyah throws a volley of stones in the target direction. But if it can no longer deal damage to multiple targets, the Stone Witch will have a lot of trouble in teamfights and the ability to clear minions will be significantly reduced. If Taliyah can’t push minions as fast as before, that means roaming ability will also be severely affected.
Additionally, Taliyah no longer gains bonus movement speed while walking on Transformed Ground. To make up for the lost power, the cooldown of the Flying Stone has been slightly reduced, and when used on Transformed Ground, the Flying Stone costs only 1 mana.
Other nerfs will likely reduce the damage on both actives of Unstable Tapestry and the duration of the ultimate reduced to 5 seconds at all ranks.
Either way, the PBE changes aren’t the end of the world for Taliyah. She has increased her base health and movement speed. The maximum movement speed gained from Wall Surfing has also been increased and the passive’s active exit time is reduced to 2 seconds, the cooldown of Seismic Toss is also reduced to 12 seconds at every level.
But even those buffs weren’t enough to convince Taliyah players that these buffs could drastically change Stone Witch’s abilities and playstyle. Players will keep an eye out and see how badly these changes will affect Taliyah if it actually makes it to the final version.
