Survival game Sons of the Forest launches new trailer, more horror, harsher

In 2018, the developer Endnight unexpectedly launched an open-world survival game called The Forest. Now, Endnight is ready to do it again, as in late 2020, Endnight rolled out a new trailer for Sons of the Forest – the sequel to The Forest.

The tense new Sons of the Forest trailer gives fans the best insight into the game’s nightmares to date. Endnight moved Sons of the Forest’s release date from 2021 to May 20, 2022, giving the team another six months to perfect the game. As for the creatures of the forest, the multi-armed female mutant, the ferocious cannibal and the creature with the lower jaw will all appear again.

In addition to the scary monsters, the trailer also has a long time when showing the variety of survival tools that gamers can use in Sons of the Forest. Like The Forest, the signature crafting canvas reappears in this trailer, where the player’s inventory is located and new tools and items can be assembled.

Settlements also appear to be enhanced, with the player arranging wooden stakes as fences and then chopping their spikes into spikes, preventing cannibals from climbing over. The trailer ends with the characters battling a giant creature in what appears to be a modern facility, revealing the details to come.

It is known that in The Forest, gamers will follow a lone survivor who is a passenger of a machine that crashed on a deserted island. The player must survive for days, fighting the harsh environment, hunger and bloodthirsty aborigines, ready to come and kill the player in the dark.
