Super car racing masterpiece Forza Horizon 5 hits 20 million players

The game attracted nearly 1 million players before it was officially released, through the Premium version that allows early access.

This is especially noticeable because Forza Horizon 5 appeared on Xbox Game Pass from day one, from which it can be inferred that some players are still willing to spend $99 / £85 for the full Premium version or $45/£40 for the premium version add-on (including early access). Thus, the game earned between $36 million and $79 million a week before its official release.

Upon release, Xbox confirmed that more than 10 million people played Forza Horizon 5 in its first week of release, making the game “the biggest first-week launch title in Xbox history”. This is more than 5 times higher than its predecessor Forza Horizon 4, which also launched on Game Pass and reached 2 million players in the first week.

The game’s first DLC will likely be revealed at the upcoming Microsoft & Bethesda Showcase. Information regarding the game’s first DLC was discovered in February, but the developer has yet to confirm an official time.​
