According to the announcement on Epic’s Twitter account, Sundered: Eldritch Edition is the latest game to be free on the Epic Games Store. This is a Metroidvania style hack and slash game, possessing hand-drawn graphics, focusing on fiery battles. The game also supports LAN co-op play, allowing players to play together to fight enemies.
When it launched in 2017, Sundered had moderate to positive reviews. Currently, the game is being given 74 points by Metacritic. Experts praise the eye-catching graphics, addictive hack and slash gameplay and always keep players wanting to explore. However, the repetition with slow tempo is the minus point of the game. However, the game now has a price you can’t help but play: Free. The Eldritch Edition adds new areas, the same co-op mode mentioned above and a new boss.
In addition to this news, Epic also said that its next free game will be. It’s Horace: a cute, funny platformer about a robot searching for the meaning of life, the universe, and everything in between. The game launched on Steam in the middle of last year, with very positive reviews from the community and experts. Horace will be free on the Epic Games Store from January 16 for a period of time.
Sundered: Eldritch Edition is currently free on the Epic Games Store and will end after January 16. You can get the game for free here (requires Epic launcher and Epic Games account ownership).
