Summary of information about Division 2: Release date

The Division 2 will be released on March 15, 2019. And maybe the beta will be released about a month in advance, similar to the first game, helping Ubisoft prepare the final stage before release. You can sign up for the beta here.

The trailers

Currently there are many trailers for this blockbuster game. However, providing the most information is still a 6-minute gameplay video, including combat mechanics and realistic graphics.

Why is the game scene like that? The answer is that someone poisoned the banknotes with smallpox that brought America down. The oppressive military system has occupied the capital and The Division is the leading faction in the resistance. For more information, you can watch the following video.

And finally, a cinematic trailer that shows the bleak tones of the post-apocalyptic world in The Division 2. Animals are rotting. Death on the street. You will definitely want to spend money to experience this world

Background

Set in Washington DC, 7 months after the biological attack begins the events of the first game. This means that the setting of this part will be summer, instead of snow-covered Manhattan, and the world will be 20% larger than The Division 1. And instead of being surrounded by tall buildings, The Division 2 will take you to larger areas, making the open world feel more real. With such wide spaces, players will easily flank enemies.

The first game is set in the collapse of human society caused by toxic bills, and The Division 2 is set in a city trying to rebuild and recover. However, it is still quite desolate, and flora and fauna now replace the abandoned areas.

What’s new in The Division 2

As seen in the gameplay, Division 2 is still in the third-person cover shooter genre with a mechanism for leveling up and looting. However, it adds a variety of new weapons, such as specialized crossbows, grenade launchers, and sniper rifles. Once you’ve completed the campaign and reached level 30, you can start collecting “signature weapons”. Enemies also have new weapons and equipment, including a gun that freezes the player in place until they are shot and freed by teammates.

In the middle of a battle, you can also call in NPC reinforcements. You can help the settlements survive and then call them to help in combat. It’s hard to know how effective this strategy is these days, but at least it gives your enemies another target to target besides yourself.

The trailer also revealed four new tools. Seeker mines target the nearest enemy, move close to them, and explode. Assault drones can be controlled remotely and, according to the official Devision website, can plunge any enemy into hell.

Meanwhile, the chem launcher can attack enemies with explosive gas, acid, healing microbots and more. Finally, wasp hive, which launches a series of microscopic drones at a target. According to the trailer, this weapon is used to break boss armor very well.

The Division 2 will have an 8-player raid mode, which means there will be quite a lot to do after the main campaign mode is over – something The Division 1 and many current shooters don’t have.

The Devision 2’s Specialization System

Once you reach level 30, you can activate one of three specializations, unlocking each specialty’s signature weapon and even new skills. The three specializations include:

Survivalist: Allows you to use the crossbow. You can also use your surroundings using traps and status effects.

Demolitionist: You will have a grenade launcher, which is used to blast enemies from entrenched positions.

Sharpshooter: Allows you to use sniper rifles, and you know what sniper rifles are for.

Players will develop their specialization in late-game co-op missions, which, according to the Division site, will present “the greatest challenges Division faces.” This part of the game will also have PvP, but there are no details about this mode yet.

Will the Dark Zone return?

Yes. A Ubisoft rep has confirmed some of The Division’s dangerous PvP areas will exist in the new DC setting. Ubisoft has not provided any further details yet.

What about DLC?

In The Division 2, three post-release updates for the game will be released for free to all players. It’s not clear what each episode will include, but something free is always welcome, right?

Does The Division 2 have a Battle Royale mode?

According to Ubisoft collaborative creative director Chadi El Zibaoui, The Division 2 will not have a Battle Royale mode. This may be the only game in 2019 that doesn’t have this mode.
