Former IGL Joshua “steel” Nissan of Chaos has officially signed 100 Thieves in the VALORANT lineup. This news comes after the 30-year-old player is said to leave CSGO to pursue a career in Riot’s new FPS game.
Announcing the newest addition to our VALORANT roster: Steel.@JoshNissan is an incredibly skilled & talented player from the Counter-Strike scene. We’re so excited to start a new chapter of his competitive career with him in VALORANT. Welcome to 100 Thieves! #100TILLION pic.twitter.com/qZyGKhnZG4

He will join two other professional CSGO players, Nick “nitr0” Cannella and Spencer “Hiko” Martin. nitr0 is the most recent name to change the game after leaving Team Liquid.
Steel competed for many teams during his Counter-Strike career, including iBuyPower, Team Dignitas, Ghost, Chaos. iBuyPower was the period of his downfall when many members of the team got caught up in a match-fixing scandal, which resulted in Steel being banned from Valve-sponsored tournaments. Until July 2017, ESL said it would allow him and other banned players to participate in ESL tournaments.
Today @JoshNissan has been transferred to @100Thieves to compete in Valorant.
While we would have loved to keep him for our own long-term Valorant plans, we also always want our players to do whatever they feel is best for them.
Good Luck & ️uck Youhttps://t.co/daR9wEP2GC pic.twitter.com/FAI3EC8gkR

Chaos broke into the top 20 in the HLTV rankings for the first time after the success of the past few months. Looks like steel has decided it’s time to find a new opportunity with 100 Thieves in VALORANT.
