Square Enix announces new part of blockbuster Life is Strange

On March 18, Square Enix will have an online game launch event.

Square Enix will announce the sequel to the Life is Strange series and new details about the upcoming games during a live event on Thursday, March 18.

The online gaming showcase will be called Square Enix Presents and will primarily focus on games from Western publishers, including Outriders, Marvel’s Avengers, and the new Just Cause mobile game.

Square Enix Presents will stream on Square Enix’s YouTube and Twitch channels starting at 12 noon local time on March 19. According to Square Enix, the event lasted 40 minutes.

The biggest announcement confirmed will be the world premiere of the next Life is Strange game. In a press release Square Enix said, “The game will feature an all-new protagonist and an exciting power-up.”

Other games that will be launched during the online event include:

– Outriders, People Can Fly’s role-playing shooter, is out April 1

– Balan Wonderworld, the Platformer game from the creators of Sonic the Hedgehog and Nights Into Dreams, Yuji Naka and Naoto Oshima, launches on March 26

– Marvel’s Avengers, will add the Hawkeye character and launch PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X upgrades on March 18

– Just Cause Mobile and a new mobile game from Square Enix Montreal

– An unidentified game from Taito

Square Enix’s press release doesn’t mention games being announced from the Japanese side of the publisher, so we shouldn’t expect major updates on titles like Final Fantasy 7 Remake Intergrade , Final Fantasy 16 or Project Athia during the Square Enix Presents event.
