Today on the official Twitter, Square Enix posted a 41-second teaser revealing the first images of the latest sequel to the action adventure game series. Tomb Raider. This game, called Tomb Raider Reload, is currently being developed by Emerald City Games (“father” of GI Joe: War on Cobra) and Square Enix London’s mobile team.
In the teaser, Lara Croft appeared in his signature shorts and tank top and was surrounded by monsters, and had to dodge traps. From the scene in the video, it can be surmised that this is an ancient tomb. It seems the heroine that gamers love is ready to return after a two-year absence since Shadow of the Tomb Raider.
Surely from the developer’s perspective, the player has also partly guessed that this new version is a title mobile games. It will probably be a bit disappointing, but seeing Lara Croft fight wolves, rock monsters, giant spiders, T-rex and dodge the pitfalls of ancient tombs is still worth waiting for fans to look forward to.
Previously, Lara also appeared on mobile games such as Lara Croft Go or Tomb Raider: Relic Run. Temporarily Square Enix does not reveal much information as well as gameplay of the game, we only know Tomb Raider Reloaded will be a free mobile game, launching on both iOS and Android platforms in 2021.
