Square Enix announces Gate of Nightmares mobile game, giving players an adventure in the middle of a nightmare

Recently a famous Japanese game developer Square Enix officially announced the new project Gate of Nightmaresthis is a title role-playing game Summon Monster is developed for iOS and Android. Before the official launch, Square Enix held a test event that allowed a select number of lucky gamers to experience the game in advance.

Gate of Nightmares is a game that revolves around a traditional fantasy adventure with swords and magic. The game is set in the interwoven context between the “real world” where people live and “Remurias” – a parallel world where people’s dreams intertwine and come true. In Remurias, there are monstrous creatures called Nightmares (nightmare), they are born from fear and torment of humans.

The story begins with the meeting of the girl Emma and the boy Azel. Emma is a Nightwalker who uses Nightmares to fight, and Azel is a special boy who always attracts Nightmares and is loved by them. After meeting Azel, Emma is drawn into a dangerous adventure where the fate of the world is at stake.​

It is known that the script of Gate of Nightmares will be penned by Jin Fujisawa, who wrote the story for many games in Square Enix’s Dragon Quest role-playing series. The characters in the game are drawn by Hiro Mashima, the famous manga author of Fairy Tail. Currently Square Enix has not revealed the official release date of the game.​
