“I started the game as a streamer, then I got hooked on Counter-Strike, and I love CS. I joined and started my CS career, so people started to know me in this sport because I shot better and better. Then I joined a pro team and went to tournaments and got everything. In the end, I built up my fanbase and brought it to the stream. That’s basically it.”
For Shroud, he believes his career as a professional CS player sets the stage for success on stream. However, his massive growth in streaming after retiring is largely due to his impressive performances in the battle royale genre.
