An update to CSGO maps has been spotted by gamers, and it’s fueling rumors of an upcoming Source 2 engine.
Source 2 port to CSGO seems to be very close. After years of waiting, the game is ready to change its look, especially as rival Valorant is becoming more and more popular.
However, as more and more hints are present, the hope from the player is increasing. The April 9 update could be the biggest, as it brings gameplay changes to many maps.
The compatibility update applies to 9 active maps: Anubis, Chlorine, Dust 2, Inferno, Mirage, Office, Overpass, Train, and Vertigo on April 9. Only Nuke, Cache, and Agency remain unchanged.
It’s not uncommon for a few maps to be updated for testing, but the fact that there are a lot of maps that have been changed has made the community look forward to the upcoming Source 2.
However, there are doubtful reasons to believe that Source 2 is indeed ready.
Possibly due to the ongoing Easter holidays, this is just a change to the decoration for the holiday, as Valve has done in the past.
In addition, it can also fix some minor bugs in the maps. Some players noticed Chlorine, the community map that has just been added to the game has been upgraded with lighting.
With limited graphics on some maps, skins can be changed.
However, the craze for the biggest update in game history continues to grow.
With the Source 2 engine leaks just a few weeks away, the CS community is even more excited. Now everyone just has to wait for this news to come true.
