Reaper and Mei are buffed, D.Va and Zenyatta are nerfed on PTR

A new update has hit the Overwatch PTR server, with changes for many heroes. Non-meta heroes have been upgraded, while popular heroes have been nerfed a bit.

These changes are not final as they have only been tested on the PTR server. Let’s find out together what changes Overwatch PTR has.

D.Va

Explosion damage reduced from 6 to 4.

Blizzard believes D.Va’s damage may be “a little too high” thanks to his new ability. Before that, D.Va’s rockets deal 3 damage on impact and 6 explosion damage. The impact damage remains the same, but the explosion damage has been reduced to 4. Total damage is reduced by 22%.

Mei

Can now shoot through enemies.

Mei can now freeze multiple objects at once to help her freeze the target behind if another opponent jumps in the middle, as well as impact multiple objects if they’re clustered together. However, Endothermic Blaster cannot shoot through shields, such as Reinhardt’s shield.

Reaper

Reload Hellfire Shotgun after use.

Movement speed bonus increased from 25% to 50%. You can now cancel this ability with the Shift button or the Primary Fire’s hotkey.

Reaper is one of the least used DPS heroes in the game, so these changes should make him even stronger. Reaper can now self-destruct Wraith Form, as well as move twice as fast as before. The ability to fire again after using the ultimate is also a welcome small change.

Moira

The move is more transparent when moving closer to the target

It now becomes more transparent when the effect is near the player’s camera

Secondary attack speed reduced by 15%.

Zenyatta is one of the most popular support heroes right now because he can heal and deal massive damage with his secondary shot and Orb of Discord. This nerf will reduce the overall DPS, and Zenyatta can’t spam as much as before.
