Rainbow Six Siege reveals new operators’ equipment

In its third year, Rainbow Six Siege has exceeded everyone’s expectations: the game’s popularity and player count continue to break new records. After the success of Operation Chimera, Ubisosft announced the content of the second season in year 3. Italy will be the focus location with the famous Gruppo di Intervento Speciale task force. While Operation Para Bellum doesn’t have a co-op mode to replace last season’s zombie content, Para Bellum adds two new Italian operators as well as a dreamlike mansion map. After being revealed through several trailers, fans will now know more about what these two new characters bring to the game.

To balance the lineup, both new Operators will join the defensive team in Rainbow Six Siege. Each of them will have their own special toy to change the current meta. The first is Alibi with the ability to place three dolls as bait with holographic decoy. Although they cannot harm the opponent, if you touch or shoot the doll, your character will be exposed for the next few seconds. Notably, the decoy will always use Alibi’s original outfit, so you should pay attention when hunting for real people.

With the other character, Maestro takes the camera to the next level. With the Evil Eye gadget, Maestro can place heavy-duty surveillance cameras on floors or walls. Basically, they are bulletproof, can see through smoke and mark enemies, and can also be controlled by teammates. In addition, the Maestro can also allow these cameras to fire lasers at the enemy. To remove them, the player needs to use explosives, destroy the surface they cling to, use Sledge to smash or shoot them when the laser eye opens.

In addition to Alibi, Maestro, and the new Villa map, Operation Para Bellum also brings some gameplay changes. As part of Pro League events, the Pick & Ban system will be available to all Rainbow Six Siege players. This mode adds new tactics to the match as teams can ban two Operators before the match starts. Each side will take turns choosing two operators to ban when the map selection and preparation process is complete, with the final choice being the 6th operator to change one of their chosen Operators.
