PlayerUnknown Battlegrounds 5th map is coming soon, and it will be called Karakin. After many previous stages of teasing, developer PUBG Corp confirmed the name of the map and released a short video introducing Karakin. The studio hasn’t yet detailed how Karakin will launch, but it’s highly likely that it will replace Vikendi for the duration of season 6.
Karakin seems to take place in North Africa or the Middle East. This is a desert map with at least one small village in mountainous terrain, and many caves for you to hide in. In addition to the new map and PUBG season 6, the datamine shows it will be 2×2 with a mechanism to destroy all buildings in the “Black Zone”.
Leaked sources indicate that Vikendi will be removed from the game, and this information has been somewhat confirmed. “Vikendi will rotate out when season 6 starts, but not permanently,” PUBG community manager posted on Twitter. “Of course, you can still play Vikendi in custom games. We will share more information soon.” Rotation “may be related” to the release of Karakin map.
We do not know when Karakin will be released on the official server, or the test server. According to PUBG Corp on Reddit, the Motor Glider is the only new thing available this week.
