PUBG: What is Weapon Mastery? Everything you need to know

PUBG Corp. just added a new leveling system for PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds called Weapon Mastery.

Weapon Mastery

Weapon Mastery leveling system, focusing on your gun ability. Each gun will have many levels for you to unlock, by damaging and finishing the enemy.

This system has existed for many years, with Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 being the iconic title.

Weapon Mastery is designed to encourage healthy gameplay in PUBG. That means players have less incentive to camp and more XP will be rewarded based on how many enemies you kill, so shoot the high-skill shots and claim your ‘chicken dinner’ ‘ any.

Tier – Rank

PUBG’s Weapon Mastery system is quite elaborate. There are a total of 100 levels in each gun. After you complete each 10 levels, you will be promoted to the next rank. That is, the level system will be divided into 10 tiers.

You will get more rewards the higher you rank up. Therefore, you will have to pay attention to the parameters of the massive arsenal in the game.

Menu Mastery

When the Weapon Mastery update was added, the endgame screen and all associated weapons were displayed on the same menu panel. Your weapon stats, medals and journey can be viewed here.

Specifically, the screen will show weapon level, number of kills, knockdown, damage, headshot and more. In addition to tracking your journey, the system also tells you which gun you shoot better.

Reward

As mentioned before, rewards earned in Weapon Mastery are completely free. Also, these items are completely new in the game.

PUBG will have a new item called charms (keychains). They are keychains that attach to your gun and are for decoration only. In general, these items do not help in the game other than showing off your feats.

Medal – Medals

Medals in the new system are earned by ‘defeat’. ‘Defeat’ is the new keyword describing defeating an enemy. You can beat a player in the following ways:

• Kill any player in solo mode
• Knockdown opponents in duo or squad
• Kill the last survivor of the team in duo or squad mode

You will not receive a ‘defeat’ when:

• Killing a knockdown player in a duo or squad.

The new Weapon Mastery system is the first step in a larger system being developed by PUBG Corp.

This system will be available on PUBG PC test server on April 17, 2019.

Weapon Mastery is currently in development for PS4 and Xbox One.
