PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds just received another update on PC: targeting hackers, fixing performance bugs and adding new crates to the game.
At the end of 2017, PUBG hit 3 million concurrent players and announced they had banned 1.5 million hackers since Early Access launched last March. The latest PC update – available now on test servers, will soon be available on main servers – will allow players to report other players directly via in-game replays.
“This means you don’t have to be killed by a suspected hacker to be able to use the in-game report tool,” reads today’s Steam Community update. But PUBG also said that if you catch those guys in battle, they will be more likely to be banned from the game.
PC players, we have deployed a new test build on our test servers. We will be testing our expanded in-game reporting tool, as well as the new crate system. The patch also includes other fixes and improvements. You can read the detailed notes here: https://t.co/Ikvtgj4mlb pic.twitter.com/mGdilCPb4o

Meanwhile, the update is also testing a new chest system for two types of chests – one is free, and the other requires a “key” to be new. PUBG Corp developer said that each test server account will be awarded 100,000 BP and 6 Early Bird keys – “This PUBG crate key can open Desperado and Gamescom crates” – so players can easily open the crate and view the inside. what’s in there.
“Every time you spend BP to get a chest, you get 1 of 4 types of crates”, says the developer. “The chance of getting one of the two new types is somewhat higher. You can see the exact percentage of the value below. The value of BP, items and keys will not be transferred to the main account.”
PUBG Corp added that this is for testing purposes, and that the accessories will be for decoration only and “have no function to increase the advantage for players in the game”.
