Season 5 of PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds continues with update 5.2. This update is available on the PC test server. It will bring changes to the Vikendi map, a new system called “PUBG Labs”, Spike Trap and more.
PUBG 5.2 patch notes share a lot of changes in the game, with Spike Trap being the most prominent name. This trap allows you to place it on the ground to sabotage your opponent’s vehicles. Spike Trap – Spike Trap – destroys the vehicle’s tires as it passes, however does not affect the vehicle’s health in general. They drop “at a steady rate to other throwables across the map”, and only destroy one vehicle before disappearing. You’ll need to know where to put them – because players can’t pick them up once they’ve put them down.
Developer PUBG Corp. says they’ve also “reworked Vikendi to make the map more appealing to Snipers.” The Vikendi map, set in the Adriatic Sea, will add vehicles and roads, and a river revolving around the frozen Castle, so you’ll have plenty of options for moving around the map. The terrain has changed, making it easier for players to find cover, and the studio has softened Mount Kreznic a bit: “Yes, we flattened the mountain, but only a little.”
In addition, the towns and gameplay of the map have been rebalanced. Volnova has been tweaked, Peshkova drops more items, and it’s easier to get out of Trevno after looting. The circle has been tweaked, with changes to the safe zones – early, mid, and late game – and additional vehicles.

PUBG Labs is a new system for players to try out modes, rules, features, and more. It allows the developer to perfect the content and understand what the PUBG community wants. Upcoming content in PUBG Labs includes Skill Based Rating, which tracks your skills and evaluates your playability in matches.
Changes in update 5.2 include automatic accessory equip feature, allowing you to equip the accessory you pick up on your weapon, swimming and diving speed increased (about 27% and 20%); same Commander feature.
