PUBG has released its first Event Pass which is the Sanhok Event Pass which lasts for 30 days and players are now very annoyed by it. The Event Pass gives PUBG players rewards for leveling up. However, to level up, you have to invest time every day as well as complete the challenges in the game, the time requirement is said to be “too extreme”. In addition, it is almost impossible to complete if we do not pay for the Premium Pass.
Now that the Sanhok Event Pass is in the game, players can calculate exactly how much they need to complete to level up their Pass. All challenges, along with other sources of experience, are already present in the game. And the results were disappointing, for those who didn’t want to pay $9.99 for the Event Pass first.’
According to calculations, in order to achieve the highest rewards for those who do not have a Premium Pass, players need to invest from 2-8 hours in PUBG every day, from the time the event is launched until the end. That means while you’re reading this, the first day has already passed, and those who haven’t completed their challenge won’t be able to reach level 20 without paying the $9.99 price tag.
Here is the calculation. For those who don’t pay, these are the only ways to get daily experience. They are divided by daily experience gained by playing, daily experience gained by completing challenges, weekly experience gained through challenges, and “Normal” (normal) challenges that last throughout the event.
- Daily XP – 2400 (80 XP x 30 Days)
- Daily Challenge – 3600 (120 XP x 30 Days)
- Weekly Challenge – 400 (100 XP x 4 Weeks)
- Normal Challenge – 1200 (300 XP x 4 Challenge)
That is, a total of 7600 XP within 30 days, just enough to go from level 1 to 20, each level costs 400 XP. The ‘silly’ point is that the Sanhok Event Pass doesn’t last for 30 days, it only runs for 29 days. That shows it’s almost impossible to reach level 20.
Premium Event Pass holders are not much easier to breathe, but their experience will be higher and the rewards are more valuable. Players still need to complete 8 to 9 challenges out of 10 to reach level 30.
Daily login to PUBG is not an easy task for everyone. And according to what we said above, you need to spend from 2 to 8 hours a day just to get enough experience points above.
In the meantime, PUBG Corp. also acknowledged these issues on Reddit and then drew the following conclusions:
It is certain that later quests will give more XP. I’ll go check and update this post when I’m sure (and it will probably take a while since it’s 4am in Korea). If you can’t reach level 20 it’s silly and we will change it.
UPDATE: It looks like we still have enough XP in the free missions to get to level 20, but the gameplay designer says he wants to make some changes next week to give players a bit of a breather (makes it easier for the players to breathe). it’s a bit easier to get to level 20). Updates will be announced next week. In the meantime, keep up the quest!
It seems that “easier to breathe” won’t make plowing easy, but admittedly, the Event Pass is a new way for us to get free items in the game. Not all games are free with new content, but unfortunately with PUBG, their Fortnite rival also has a Battle Pass system available. In addition, PUBG Corp. also sell 5-level for Event Pass for $4.99 (so you have to spend money to buy it, instead of plowing).
Sanhok Event Pass Currently only available on PC.
