PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds just announced ‘Event Mode’. This feature will introduce new rotation modes to the game, to create interesting experiences in a short time to help the PUBG community innovate.
During the first week of Event Mode, you’ll join a squad of 8 and the drop rate will be doubled, to make sure everyone has the right gear. “Even Mode’s first event was very simple, as the new system was launched and we needed to test the basics first,” he said. This event promises to create many unexpected interesting things in PUBG.
The first mode went live in Test Sever today, but it’s only for Erangel map, to ensure “matchmaking efficiency”.

“Using Event Mode, players will have a different experience not possible before,” promises PUBG Corp. they also confirmed that it won’t rank but the player still gets BP, the in-game currency.
A similar feature is also applied in another Battle Royale game, Fortnite – with the name ‘Victory Royale’ just released, allowing 20-player squads. PUBG has long been known for its more serious gameplay than Fortnite, so let’s see how far PUBG is ready to go.
