Obviously PUBG has a game quality problem – this is something that has always stuck with players since its launch. In a post on Steam, PUBG Corp admitted they “didn’t take care” of the issue and that they didn’t respond to player complaints about problems with the game. PUBG Corp also shows the development roadmap and how the game will change in the future.
The three main priorities from here will be “quality, server optimization, and hacking”. To improve the quality, PUBG Corp. will be fixing the way lighting effects are handled and the way vehicles move across different terrains: both of which make the player’s GPU overload.
Next, they’ll focus on character moves, movements, and modelling, with the goal of increasing the overall framerate. They will be fixing the way the game handles images of vehicles far away from the player, as well as stationary vehicles, which are currently ‘frustrating’ the computer system configuration. Finally, they will focus on optimizing the server, reducing lag, removing inefficient network code, and tweaking the items that appear in the game.
There are too many changes to cover this list, but if you want to know more, check out this post. Going forward, quality updates will roll out as soon as they’re ready, instead of coming with big updates like in the past. “Obviously a lot has changed. Once we have applied all the optimizations listed above, the team will continue to improve the game.”
PUBG Corp. also talked about the detail of the game when adding Sanhok, the new 4x4km PUBG map in the game. “The team is focused on making sure every detail in Sanhok is perfect for the player, whether it’s the details on the stone walls or the unique details around the houses on the island.” Map Sanhok is currently still being tested.
PUBG quietly changed the sound and forgot to tell everyone
