Gun skins will appear in PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds. PUBG Corp announced this information in the 8th update of PUBG since the game moved to 1.0 last December.

This update is available on the test server. Players will receive 100,000 BP, 20 Weapon Cosemtic crate keys, 20 Early Bird keys, and 10 Triump Crate crates to test the new system. This patch will be available on the official server when it has been tested for stability.

You need the goddess of luck to get the new gun skins. You won’t be able to buy them directly. The only way to get skins is through the paid Triumph crate – which is a random weekly drop box – or the Raider crate – which is free and non-random. The Triumph Chest has a 20 percent drop rate.

Raider crates don’t need a key to open, but the skins in this crate have a very low drop rate, as you can see above. Skins available include Rugged Beige (Orange), Silver Plate, Jungle Digital, Trifecta, Turquoise Delight, Gold Plate, and Glory.

For example, if you want the Gold Plate skin for the S686 shotgun, you need to get the Raider chest first. When opening that chest, the skin rate is 0.0064 percent. Overall, all skins, clam25i except Rugged Beige, have a drop rate of 6.5% or less in the free Raider crate.

The skin drop rate in the Triump crate is not much better. The Glory skin for the AKM has a drop rate of 0.16%, and the Desert Digital M416 has a drop rate of only 1.3%.

This update also includes several bug fixes for the game, and the patch also mentions that PUBG Corp. considering locking servers by region. This is a feature that has been requested for quite some time.

This means that the era of choosing a server region is over, you can only choose the server you see. A player can only play on a different regional server if invited to the team from a player on another regional server. According to PUBG Corp., this is a solution they are considering developing while switching to ping-based game search.
