PS5 gamers are playing the wrong PS4 game without knowing it

The first to use PS5 noticed that their new console sometimes default install PS4 version of games. Users are being asked to check the game version when playing on PS5.

Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla and Watch Dogs Legion are the games that are having the above problem. The main reason lies in the fact that the PS5 user interface does not show which version is running if the user does not go into the settings. User may be playing version PS4 and wonder why the graphics are not as impressive as in the trailer. PS5 users can use the solution offered by Activision as follows:

1. Select the game name on the Dashboard
2. Scroll down and select “Play”
3. Select 3 dots and open Menu
4. Select “PS5 | Full | Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War”
5. Restart the game and play.
