About 3 weeks ago, Nexon Introduced a medieval PC war game for the first time – Project HP (tentative name), developed by its subsidiary Nat Games. Project HP was revealed to be inspired by many titles such as Mount & Blade, Chivalry: Medieval Warfare and MORDHAU. Recently, details about Project HP have been shared by the developer with the media, accompanied by a new trailer recording actual gameplay footage of the game.
Nexon said that the three games they inspired to create Project HP did not find success in the general market, but the Korean game company has a way to solve this for its “child”. By adding continuous live service to overcome the “limit”, Project HP is expected to achieve that goal. Currently, there are 6 characters to choose from (introduced in the trailer), each with a specific role such as recovery, combat or defense.
Contrary to previous reports, Project HP includes elements of fantasy and even magic, although the game focuses more on physical and melee combat. There are currently no details regarding the archers seen in the trailer, nor the extent to which the magic affects battle. We’ve only seen transformation and resurrection magic.
Nexon will hold a limited Closed Beta (players 18 and older only) for Project HP in early August. Current recommended specs (subject to change) are: : Windows 10 (64 bit), Intel i7 CPU with 8 cores or more, 16 GB RAM or more, 20 GB SSD and Nvidia RTX 2060.
