Plague Inc will have a new mode, for gamers to save the world from a deadly pandemic

Recently developer Plague Inc. have officially announced they are developing a brand new mode for this classic game. The new mode will have the purpose of “for players to save the world from the outbreak of a deadly disease”. It is known that this regime is being developed with the help of experts from WHO. Players will be able to experience this mode completely for free, although we do not know when it will officially launch.​

In January of this year, the pandemic COVID-19 boom and become a common concern of the whole world at the present time. At the same time, Plague Inc. – title pandemic simulation game developed by Ndemic Creations suddenly hot again, reaching the record of players online at the same time on Steam, entering the top hot trend on the App Store of some countries and regions. The game’s developer also warned Plague Inc. It is not based on a scientific model at all, although it seems very close to reality and contains a rich amount of information.

Notably, the game’s development team has donated 250,000 USD (about 5.9 billion VND) to support the fight against Coronavirus. This donation is divided between two organizations, WHO and CEPI. If not already known, CEPI is a global organization that funds and coordinates the development of vaccines against new infectious diseases.​
