PewDiePie will no longer accept donations while streaming because it looks like ‘beggar’

YouTuber Felix ‘PewDiePie’ Kjellberg will no longer accept donations on stream.

PewDiePie said accepting donations was “weird” during a recent stream. YouTuber posted a video on October 15 when he donated to Twitch streamers. Although it is a healthy concept, PewDiePie is hesitant about donation in general.

“It happened when I donated to a Twitch streamer. That made me realize how weird it is to donate money to people. It’s like I’m walking on the street and someone gives me money, it gives me the feeling of “Like begging”. But for some reason, if I stream, it says “Pay me money”. I do not understand it. It’s not quite right,” PewDiePie said.

This YouTuber said he appreciates everyone when chatting, but will no longer accept donations.

PewDiePie has over 107 million followers on YouTube, making him the most popular content creator in the world. He signed a million-dollar stream contract with YouTube in March to jump into the stream business. This not only helps him become a more famous YouTuber but also one of the hottest streamer faces.

PewDiePie is estimated to have a net worth of between $30 and $50 million, but this information has not been confirmed. However, PewDiePie admits that not everyone makes that much money from content creation.

“I don’t judge others. But from my perspective, that’s not true. Therefore, I will not accept donations, I don’t think I need it,” he said.

This is not an entirely new PewDiePie idea. He has donated all subscriber money to various charities every month since June. Fans will be the ones to choose the charity.

Another popular Twitch streamer, Imane “Pokimane” Anys, recently did the same thing as PewDiePie. She set a maximum donation amount of $5 and told fans to use the rest of the money to take care of themselves.
