PewDiePie shares why he streams on DLive, not YouTube or Twitch

The world’s most successful YouTuber, Felix “PewDiePie” Kjellberg, decided to stream on DLive instead of streaming on top channels like Twitch, YouTube and Mixer.

On the video released on April 9, the Swedish YouTuber said he has a big announcement for his future livestream plans.

Currently, every time PewDiePie decides to go live, he will stream on YouTube. However, he now says that won’t happen again – PewDiePie will switch to DLive to stream.

What is DLive?

The strong point of DLive is that the platform will not eat your share of the profits. If you stream on Twitch, you will have to split the sub 50/50 with Twitch until you become their partner, then you can negotiate a contract.

As an extremely large platform, Twitch has dozens of streamers and accordingly a loyal fan base. So, those looking to get into the world of streaming might consider DLive – especially if PewDiePie can bring in a ton of new viewers.

Why is it so important for PewDiePie to use DLive?

Although PewDiePie has a large following on other social networking sites, such as Twitter, but YouTube is still his main home. Therefore, he explained why he was excited to switch to livestreaming on DLive.

YouTube actually has its own livestream service, but PewDiePie gave up and switched to DLive to stream. He continues to release YouTube videos regularly, so fans shouldn’t be too worried.

When will PewDiePie stream on DLive?

The Swedish YouTuber said his first DLive stream was on April 14, Sunday, and he will ‘give away’ up to $50,000 to 100 streamers.

PewDiePie hasn’t announced what viewers can expect from DLive, like he’ll be playing games or talking to viewers, so we’ll have to wait until Sunday to find out.

However, we can predict that there will be a lot of donations from PewDiePie to other streamers on DLive, so this is also an event worth watching.
