One Punch Man is about to have a live-action, Venom’s screenwriter “contracts” the script

One Punch Man is a very familiar name for manga fans around the world. The plot of this manga revolves around the saint Saitama skinhead with the ability to defeat any enemy with just one fist and the journey to find a worthy opponent. With his creativity and humor, One Punch Man is not only famous in Japan but also loved by the international fan community.​

According to the exclusive information of Variety, this popular Japanese manga will officially have a live-action version. The set movie this will be due Sony released, produced by Ari Arad. Insiders say that Sony appreciates this project very much because of the popularity of the series and is likely to develop another franchise into this universe.

Scott Rosenberg and Jeff Pinkner are notable names at Sony after the success of Venom, they are also the writers for Jumanji: the Next Level – the film was released last December, grossing a box office of up to 754 million USD. This time, two screenwriters are also trusted by Sony to be in charge of the live-action of One Punch Man.​

One Punch Man was released by Japanese author ONE in 2009 and quickly caused a fever, until 2012, the series was officially released on Shueisha’s Young Jump. To date, the series has sold 30 million copies worldwide. Due to its popularity, One Punch Man was also adapted into an anime series or a game. These include the most recent One Punch Man games such as A Hero Nobody Knows or One Punch Man: Road to Hero.
