Everyone is probably excited for Fortnite Season 10, but there is one piece of news that will surely surprise you more. Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins announced that he’s quitting Twitch to stream exclusively on Mixer. This announcement was made on Ninja’s Twitter account and is effective immediately.

We don’t know anything about the terms yet – the duration, the amount or what Ninja will be limited on Microsoft’s Stream platform or not. But according to Ninja: “I’m still the same, just different streaming platform.”
However, this is really an unexpected change. Ninja is not only considered the face of Twitch but also the representative of the gaming community in general since he exploded with the game Fortnite. This shows that Microsoft is not giving in to Amazon’s Twitch.
According to Twitter, Ninja is more than just a streamer on Mixer. He will attend Mixer events throughout the year, which means he will be the face of the company.
This is Microsoft’s big effort to capitalize on Ninja’s reputation. Whether it succeeds or not, we have to wait and see. You can subscribe to Ninja’s channel on Mixer for free by following the link below.
If the terms include fees, surely the price of Ninja is not cheap at all. He made $500,000 USD in March 2018 alone, but his Twitch subscriber count has dropped quite a bit since then, according to data from Twitch Tracker. Even so, this exclusive deal will ensure his source of income in the long run. The guaranteed income is much more obvious with the precarious subscriber base on Twitch.
Immediately after the news that Ninja streamed exclusively on Mixer, Ninja’s account on Twitch lost his Verified badge.
