Ninja explains the mistakes of new streamers

One of Twitch’s biggest stars, Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins, has some advice for those looking to try their hand at being a streamer on Twitch.

After gaining popularity since playing H1Z1, Ninja’s channel reached new heights thanks to Fortnite Battle Royale. He broke the record for the most consecutive viewers on Twitch when he streamed with singer Drake, as well as signed a sponsorship contract with Red Bull.

The 27-year-old streamer is still one of the most watched streamers on Twitch, and he has some advice for those who want to try being a streamer.

Ninja believes that small streamers should build a community with a less popular game instead of competing with thousands of others who have tried to become the next Fortnite star.

“It’s better for everyone to start streaming a game that’s not the most popular on Twitch,” he said in a clip posted on Twitter.

“You start with Rainbow Six Siege or Call of Duty, any other game but League of Legends or Fortnite – games where viewers don’t have to spend an hour to scroll down to streams with only a few hundred viewers.” Ninja added

“When a new big game comes out, you can switch to it and half of your audience will follow. Since then, you can build your community that way.”

Given his success on the Internet, Ninja’s tips should be recognized by new streamers looking to start a business.

But with most of the games on Twitch already sold out, it’s going to be tough to become Twitch’s next big star.
