Ni No Kuni 2 – Ghibli masterpiece game version with high scores

Five years ago, Ni No Kuni The original version conquers the hearts of gamers around the world thanks to its beautiful visual style, the work comes from Ghibli. Without the collaboration of the famous anime studio, the second part of the series was not expected much. Therefore, most experts are surprised when Ni No Kuni 2: Revenant Kingdom released with a glittering beauty, still bearing the style of the previous game, even reminiscent of Ghibli’s works in every frame.

Ni No Kuni 2: Revenant Kingdom tells the story of a young king, Evan Tildrum, who is robbed of his throne by a coup and must find his way back to the kingdom with the help of his close friends. Commenting on Ni No Kuni 2, game sites around the world give maximum marks for graphic quality. The world in the game is full of fairy-tale colors “Ghibli style”, a world that everyone, regardless of age or nationality, wishes to experience.

Regarding the plot, the USgamer site makes an interesting comment: “Ni No Kuni 2 bringing fiction into political themes. Amidst an age of negative politicians and noisy pundits, Ni No Kuni tells a story that anything can be worked out if you ask nicely. Battle system in Ni No Kuni 2 no longer cling to the “traditional” turn-based gameplay of Japanese games, which focuses more on real-time, fast speed and enhanced interactivity. Players can command 4 armies with their own weapons and skills, launch powerful attacks, drop spells, block and dodge attacks. The secondary characters in the team automatically support each other while the player focuses on controlling the main character.

Although receiving an almost absolute high rating on many sites such as Polygon (9/10), PCGamer (90/100), Dualshockers (10/10),… some professional sites still deduct points. Ni No Kuni 2 because the gameplay relies too much on the main quest. The story mission system in the game is considered too long and requires gamers to complete all to be able to level up and build the kingdom. This design is quite old for the generation of gamers who favor the open world experience, they want more opportunities to do side quests and hidden quests, instead of spending 15 hours playing a linear story.

General, Ni No Kuni 2 rated as AAA game – high quality blockbuster game. The game was slated to be released in 2017, but had to be postponed twice before officially releasing on March 23 for $ 60 on Steam.​
