New desert map in PUBG called Miramar revealed

Here is Bluehole’s blog post revealing the PUBG desert map Miramar:

Dear gamers!

We are delighted that we can now finally share the name of the new desert map and tell you a little bit about some places on the map. When we decided to create a new map, we focused on creating a very different environment than Erangel. We wanted to go in the opposite direction of the fields and forests, instead of the harsh and desolate desert of the land of Miramar. Miramar’s unique terrain and dense urban areas will create a new Battle Royale experience where old tactics may no longer work and new ones are needed. We don’t want to tell you too much as you’ll be experiencing all of that soon, but we’ll reveal a few short descriptions of the areas that we think will be the focus. You can find them below, along with photos.

Los Leones: The largest city on the map, Los Leones gives you a variety of “shopping” options, a city with many skyscrapers and unfinished constructions. Players should keep an eye out for high areas of construction sites and loot in abandoned malls.

El Pozo: El Pozo is a large city known for being the major industrial and entertainment district of the region. Players can challenge themselves with other players in the Luchador arena, test their driving skills in the death basins or hunt in the ruins of abandoned textile factories.

Monte Nuevo: Monte Nuevo is a picture of a besieged town. Walls that were originally meant to protect the population are now something for players to choose as hiding places while searching for useful things in the town.

Valle del Mar: Valle del Mar is a beautiful seaside town located near the De Toro bridge. To the west of town is an abandoned school, and to the east is a beautiful church. The only way you can control the town is the “bridge camp”, the only connection between the mainland and the island outside.

La Cobreria: Miramar’s shipping and transportation headquarters, La Cobreria’s most distinguishing feature is its huge Platform. Here, players will hunt or be hunted among the thick rows of containers of an abandoned industry. Players should carefully loot from the school and dormitory before attempting to take over the platform.

San Martin: San Martin is located to the west of Hacienda Del Patrón. Forts and barricades turned this small town into a battlefield. Players should cautiously probe before entering the town. Because who knows what’s waiting for me in there?

Pecado: Once a popular tourist destination with some of the biggest casinos in the region, Pecado offers players a thrill combined with plenty of loot to make it a dangerous and exciting area. Aggressive players will head straight to loot the casinos, while safer players will keep an eye on the hotels around them.

Chumacera: Chumacera is now a remnant of a prosperous period of the textile industry in Miramar. With long rows of abandoned factories along with the main road leading to residential areas and commercial centers. With rows of neatly built houses, this town becomes a fun place to loot: eat it all, lose it!

Of course, this isn’t the only fun place to visit, but you’ll have to discover the rest of them on your own. Miramar will be put on the test server before PUBG reaches version 1.0.
