The new Darkness Among Us update will introduce a new killer and a new survivor.
Dead by Daylight’s newest DLC, Darkness Among Us, is here. Darkness Among Us marks a big turning point for developer Behaviour Interactive – this is the 10th chapter of this multiplayer horror game. In the new update, we will have a new killer Legion and a new survivor named Jeff Johansen, as well as a new map, Ormand Slope Resort.
Behavior revealed the newest chapter last week during The Game Awards 2018, but the killer and map didn’t show up until this week.
In this trailer, Dead by Daylight analyzes the power of the Killer Legion. Legion’s strength is Feral Frenzy. It allows Killer to move faster when the power is activated, allowing him to climb over obstacles. Attacks cool down faster, and if hit during Frenzy, Deep Wound will activate. Deep Wound is a new condition that will put the player in a ‘dying state’ after a while, unless Survivor takes the time to heal. If it hits someone with a Deep Wound, Killer’s Feral Frenzy heals, allowing effective attacks if properly aligned.
Legion’s strength makes this Killer extremely dangerous when chasing other players, but it is weak against organized, group players. Here are three special Perks that allow Legion to optimize Feral Frenzy’s power:
- Discord: If two or more Survivors work on the same Generator, that Generator will be highlighted.
- Mad Grit: When carrying a survivor, Killer does not have a cooldown when he misses. Hit will make Survivor unable to struggle for a while.
- Iron Maiden: Open cabinets faster. Survivor leaving the cabinet will reveal its location and get Exposed status.
In addition, this update will upgrade to Unreal Engine, improve graphics and sound. And the game also has a lot of other balance changes.
Dead by Daylight is available now on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
