The game is called Exploding Kittens – The Game and is a new version of the existing mobile game. The game will launch directly on the Netflix app in May. Netflix will then release an adult animated comedy based on the game in 2023. The film will star Mr. movie stars are Tom Ellis, Abraham Lim, Lucy Liu, Ally Maki, Mark Proksch and Sasheer Zamata.
Netflix revealed the content of the film will revolve around the story when God and the Devil transform into chubby domestic cats and the never-ending conflict between Heaven and Hell. The list of members of the executive production team on the film includes Mike Judge, Greg Daniels of Bandera Entertainment, Shane Kosakowski, and the original game writers Matthew Inman and Elan Lee.
Exploding Kittens – The Game will be similar to the existing mobile title, but the difference lies in two new cards exclusive to the Netflix version.
