My Hero Academia is adapted into a Battle Royale Game

Manga series My Hero Academia has been adapted into many video games, but mostly in the fighting or RPG genre. My Hero Ultra Rumble marks Academia’s first foray into the genre battle royale multiplayer, bringing characters like Deku and All Might to the challenge of Fortnite. Will My Hero Academia be able to survive in this race?

My Hero Ultra Rumble will certainly bear some similarities to Fortnite, including a third-person perspective. However, things become different when the characters use skill sets that combine a variety of weapons and bombs. Deku uses his powerful attacks and Blackwhip ability to move Spider-Man-style from place to place, while Bakugou’s explosive power transforms into ranged attacks and various AOEs. .

At launch, My Hero Ultra Rumble will feature quite a few characters from the manga. The trailer shows the presence of a lot of 1A students including Todoroki, Uraraka and Asui, UA teachers like All Might and Cementoss, and even a professional hero in Mt. Lady. Some villains like Shigaraki, Toga and Dabi also appear in the trailer and use their superpowers out of control.

Initially, My Hero Ultra Rumble will support up to 24 players divided into eight teams on one map. The game’s official website confirms each character will be in one of three different classes, including Attack, Support, and Disruption. Fans can sign up for the Closed Beta on PS4 here. My Hero Ultra Rumble will release on Xbox One, Xbox Series X | S, PS4, Nintendo Switch and PC via Steam.
