Infinity X gaming desktop, MSI’s most powerful gaming PC ever using the fastest hardware on the market today. Specifically, Infinity X’s latest pair of computers uses the best gaming processor, Core i9-9900K with the best gaming graphics card, GeForce RTX 2080 Ti.
The price of the CPU and GPU of this rig has also nearly reached $1,700.
If you want to buy one of these two systems, keep an eye out for the two main models: Infinity X 9th and Infinity X 9th Plus. They have the same appearance, and most of the hardware is similar, except for the Plus version available on Intel’s Z390 motherboard and the non-Plus version. This information is not visible on the product page – you must click on the “Configurations” link to see the machine configuration details.
In addition to the above main hardware, Infinity X 9th supports up to 64GB DDR4-2666 memory and can mount up to two M.2 SSDs, two 3.5″ drives and one 2.5 inch drive. In terms of power, the system has two types for you to choose: PSU 850W 80 Plus Platinum or 55W 80 Plus Bronze.
The front port includes two USB 3.1 Gen 1 ports (Type-A and Type-C) and one USB 2.0 port. Behind, we have 4 USB 2.0 ports, USB 3.1 Gen 2 Type-C and USB 3.1 Gen 1 Type-A (one each), one GbE LAN port, PS/2 combo port, multiple audio sockets, and HDMI 1.4, DisplayPort 1.2 and DVI-D interfaces.
In terms of heat dissipation, MSI uses high-end components divided into three compartments. These include the traditional top and bottom bays for the CPU/motherboard and power. However, MSI also plugs in the graphics card horizontally and considers it a third compartment. This is an interesting design, but we can’t say anything about their effectiveness because we have not experienced this computer.
MSI did not specifically say when the Infinity X 9th and Infinity X 9th Plus will launch.
