Mortal Kombat 11: Characters Revealed Now

One of the big surprises at The Game Awards 0218 was when Ed Boon of NetherRealm Studios appeared on stage, planning to announce the nominations for the best Sports/Racing game of the year. Instead, he announced Mortal Kombat 11. Mortal Kombat 11 was introduced with a bloody trailer introducing three old characters and a new character who will appear in the sequel to this fighting game series.

The trailer for The Game Awards 2018 of Mortal Kombat 11 also said: additional characters will appear. On January 17, 2019, NetherRealm will hold a Community Reveal Event: an event that is unknown what information will be, but it will certainly be an opportunity to see the first gameplay of the game as well as the new warriors.

In the meantime, here are all the characters we know will appear in Mortal Kombat 11. The rest of the characters will be announced in the weeks and months ahead before the game’s release on April 23. 2019.

At the end of the Mortal Kombat 11 trailer, we get a glimpse of a new character – it looks like this is a bald woman with the power of blue fire. She’s standing next to a glass hourglass, other than that we don’t know anything more. Some fans have predicted that she will not be among the playable characters but will instead appear in the story mode.

Raiden

As a character that everyone knows, it’s not too surprising when Raiden returns in Mortal Kombat 11. However, some fans realize that this version of Raiden has red electricity, not blue. This suggests that Dark Raiden will be present in Mortal Kombat 11.

Scorpion

As the most popular character in Mortal Kombat, Scorpion will definitely be part of the Mortal Kombat 11 lineup. In the new trailer, we see Scorpion in various costumes, including a look from the earlier parts of the series.

Shao Kahn

Mortal KOmbat 11 trailer also confirms at least one more character available only to those who pre-order the game. Shao Kahn will return in Mortal Kombat 11 for those who pre-ordered the game, and the pre-order also allows players to participate in the beta.

Mortal Kombat 11 will launch on April 23 on PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One.
