Mario Kart Tour hits 20 million downloads in just a few days of launch

As of now, Mario Kart Tour is estimated by NPH Nintendo to have been downloaded more than 20 million times on iOS and Android devices. After launching on Wednesday, the first 24 hours of Mario Kart Tour has surpassed countless opponents and Pokemon GO with 6.7 million downloads is no exception.

According to data from Sensor Tower, Mario Kart Tour is by far Nintendo’s most successful mobile game in terms of single-day downloads, registering nearly three times as many downloads as Super Mario Run did on its launch day just for iOS.

Racing game Mario Kart Tour is Nintendo’s third highest earning free-to-play mobile game in terms of single-player spending, raking in around $1 million in its first 24 hours, less than Super Mario Run and The current record holder is Fire Emblem Heroes ($4.3 million).
