List of game modes in Free Fire

1. Team Deathmatch

Team Deathmatch aka TDM is one of the most popular game modes of every shooting game. TMD mode in Free Fire is basically a 10 minute 4v4 battle between 2 teams, where the team that reaches 40 kills first wins. If neither team can do that, the team with more kills wins.

2. Clash Squad

Clash Squad is another 4v4 mode in Free Fire. However, this time it simulates the normal mode of CS, where 2 teams compete against each other for 7 rounds and the team that wins 4 rounds wins the overall game. Before the start of each round, there is a buying phase. With 500 USD in hand, you can buy weapons, armor, hats and more to increase your chances of survival in the match. The battle takes place on the maps of Kalahari and Bermuda.

3. Big Head

Another variant of Death Match with a limit of 10 minutes of combat and 40 kills. The thing to notice is that with each successful kill, your head will grow bigger. Then it will be easier for the enemy to spot you and make a headshot. Players will spawn with random weapons.

4. Explosive Jump

20 players will land on a small portion of the Bermuda map. Each is equipped with an MGL140 grenade launcher and Jumping Shoes, allowing to jump 2 times higher than normal. The last survivor is the winner.

5. Cold Steel

Similar to Explosive Jump, in Cold Steel mode, 20 players spawn over a small area. Each is equipped with throwing knives. The only person who survives 10 minutes of fighting will win.

6. Night Hunter

This is a mini Battle Royale mode where 20 players land in a small area and fight until only one is left alive. The difference of this mode is that they have to fight in the dark and can hardly see anything but the flashing gun.

7. Rampage

Rampage is a 4v4 mode where 2 teams compete for control of locations on the map. After a specific amount of time, 1 of 3 locations on the map will light up and teams must capture it while killing opposing teams. The first team to reach 100 points wins.

8. Fully Charged

Also a 20-player mode, Fully Charged takes players to a small area and each equipped with a special weapon. It’s the CG15 charged gun. All players use the same gun to destroy each other and the last person standing wins the match.

9. Spray And Pray

Similar to Fully Charged, but the player is equipped with a Gatling gun and rich Jet to be able to fly around.

10. Rush Hour

Rush Hour is a literal version of Battle Royale, where 20 players land in a small area and fight to destroy each other until only 1 person survives.

11. Kill Secured

Kill Secured is another 4v4 mode that has a similar weapon market to Clash Squad. However, the difference here is that you have to collect the opponent’s Dog Tag. This makes sniping pointless as you have to reach the enemy to be able to pick up the card. The first team to reach 80 points wins. You only get 1 point for each Dog Tag you get.

12. Bomb Squad

It is the defender’s job to defuse the bomb, preventing it from exploding, but they can end the match by killing the opponent and leaving the bomb unattended.

13. Gun King

Players will be able to use 14 different weapons to get 28 kills. The first person to reach this limit will be the winner. The weapons are predefined and one of them is really bad.

14. Rampage 2.0

Rampage 2.0 is an upgrade of Rampage mode. They are mostly the same, however Rampage 2.0 has skins that spawn on the map, giving special powers to the wearer.

15. Grim Reaper

Grim Reaper is a TMD mode, with the difference that after a certain number of kills, you will become a ghost with greater HP and damage than normal players. Then you will need to kill more targets. The first person to reach a certain number of kills as a Ghost wins the match. Specifically by killing you will fill a red bar. Whoever’s bar is full first wins the match. If killed, you respawn as a human.
