Legendary developer removed from a series of games due to sexual harassment allegations

This week, Chris Avellone – famous screenwriter and designer who participated in the development of many blockbusters such as Fallout 2Planescape: Torment, Knights of the Old Republic 2, Fallout: New Vegas and Prey – have been accused of conduct sexual abuse and harassment. Now that some developers have publicly ended their partnership with Avellone, several other studios are considering removing Avellone’s contributions from their games.

Developers Dying Light 2, Techland wrote on Twitter: “We take issues of sexual harassment and disrespect very seriously in the work environment and do not tolerate such behavior – this applies to both studio staff and employees alike.” as outside consultants, and Chris is among them. This is why, we have decided to end our partnership with Chris Avellone.”

About Avellone’s contribution to Vampire: The Superman – Bloodlines 2publisher Paradox commented that “Chris’s time working with Bloodlines 2’s scripting team during the early stages of the game’s development was rather brief. However, later on, his contribution was not appear in the game as well.”
